About the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Coop Program
Students acquire industry knowledge through an internationally recognized Hospitality program, and gain Canadian work experience through a co-op internship placement. Tourism & Hospitality are two of the fastest growing industries, and the largest area of employment in the world. Graduates enjoy a wide variety of positions in many career areas. The program is offered in 18 month periods, each composed of a 50% academic and a 50% paid co-op placement component.
Diploma in Hospitality Sales & Marketing Co-op program gives students the necessary skills to achieve their objectives through topics such as market segmentation, market research, advertising, public relations, pricing, and revenue maximization.
Students acquire industry knowledge through an internationally-recognized Hospitality program, and gain valuable paid Canadian work experience during the co-op work term.
Students will be prepared for a variety of hospitality industry positions such as hospitality marketing assistant, sales associate, public relations coordinator, and more.
Co-op Work Placement
This paid Work Experience is an integral part of the Co-op program. Students will apply the theories learned in class in real world work settings that are relevant to their field of study and align with the learning objectives of the program. Program Orientation and Pre-Placement classes will prepare you for finding a suitable paid work experience opportunity. Throughout the work experience term, you will receive the support and guidance of a dedicated Co-op Program Advisor who will work with you and ensure that you receive all the support that is needed to successfully complete the program.
Co-op positions vary depending on an employer’s needs, and the student’s English and professional skills. Your work schedule and wage will be determined by your employer.

Am I eligible for the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Co-op Program in Canada?
Students who are interested in taking part in the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Co-op Program must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent (accepted secondary school diplomas must be from Canada or the USA); or be at least 18 years of age, and pass a superintendent approved qualifying test.
International Students must demonstrate a high intermediate level of English with our online written test and arranged speaking interview. The online written test is exempt if iBT 70, IELTS 6, ILSC I4 or CLB8 is presented. Also the online written test is exempt if ILSC’s Hospitality Management Preparation Certificate program is completed.
Study & Work Permit Regulations
You will be required to apply for a study permit plus a co-op work permit as work is required to complete this program in Canada. After registering, you will receive a letter from the school that confirms you need to complete a work placement in order to graduate and your co-op placement or internship totals 50% or less of your study program. You must apply for your co-op work permit at the same time as your study permit. All international students registered in one of these co-op programs will be provided with the necessary documents and instructions to apply for a study permit plus co-op work permit for Canada.
Post Graduate Work Permit Canada
Students who complete a full-time program lasting for longer than 8 months may be eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit. Post Graduate Work Permits may not exceed the length of study time. Please see the Government of Canada Website for more information.

Hospitality & Marketing Co-op Schedule
Students will benefit from qualified instructors with years of experience in the industry. Classes are Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm and one hour is intended for lunch break.
Students taking the daytime program will follow the same course schedule from 9:00 AM–2:30 PM during all study portions. During the first 24 weeks of the program, students will also take the Work Placement Skills Course to prepare them for their Co-op placement.
