Apply Now!The Internship in France program offers a unique way to acquire professional qualifications and to enhance their skills and knowledge of qualified trainees in their fields of study while benefiting from first-hand exposure to French culture and business practice. As a part of this program candidates will also receive a 4 weeks language course that will further improve their French language and prepare them for their internship placement. Minimum program duration is 12 weeks (4 weeks language course + 8 weeks internship in France).

The Internship in France program provides professional internship placements at French companies combined with a 4 weeks language course (26 lessons per week) at our language school partner in Paris, Nice or Bordeaux. University or college student can get professional work experience in a French business environment in various areas such as Sales and Marketing, Accounting, Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, etc.

The Internship in France program was developed as a rewarding and effective method based on active learning through a combination of language course and internship at a French company.

Through this program, our mission is to provide international young people the chance to gain educational and professional experience in France. Goals of this program are:

  • to encourage and facilitate international mobility amongst students, recent graduates and young professionals
  • simplify administrative processes linked with international educational experiences
  • give a permanent support to students during their work experience for a secure stay

Through the application and interview with our partner the candidate will have the option to express his/her preferences or special requests about the program although a specific company, type of company or placement in the company cannot be guaranteed.

After receiving the application form it will be reviewed to see if the candidate meets the programs requirements and conditions. If eligible, the candidate will proceed to the interview stage. The interview stage will be held in a form of video conference and in French in order to assess the candidate’s fluency in French and to find out more about the motivation, expectations, skill and possible internship placement options. After passing the interview stage, a Letter of acceptance will be issued and confirmation of participation should be sent within 10 days after receiving the Letter of acceptance.

In order to take an internship in France through this program, the participants should:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a full-time registered student at a university / college in their home country
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Have at least a B1 level of French (upper-intermediate) and be familiar with the terminology of their field of study
  • Have necessary funds to support themselves during the program
  • Have appropriate insurance
  • Be mature, flexible, open-minded, adaptive and willing to express new situations
  • Have an approval of the program from their school
  • Be an EU national


  • For non-EU nationals, for programs up to 12 weeks in length, be eligible to enter France as a tourist (visa waiver program)
  • For non-EU nationals, for programs more than 12 weeks, possess a Working Holiday* visa for France

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have an upper-intermediate level of French, confident working in a solely French-speaking environment.
  • Be available between 2 to 6 months (minimum length of program is 12 weeks)
  • Be mature and independent in a foreign country. Having previous work experience in another country is a big benefit.
  • Sincere in their intention of pursuing a bona fide (ie. with good faith) period of training in France.
  • Be skilled. Potential employers want to see how the candidate will manage in a professional environment so having a completed internship in their field of study would be considered as a huge benefit.

NB: For internship placements longer than 2 months, candidates will receive a financial compensation of 554 euros per month minimum for a full-time internship.


The Internship in France program offers monthly starting dates although we recommend avoiding starting during holiday seasons (around Christmas) or summer vacation season (from July – September),

The fee includes application pre-screening, pre-acceptance Skype interviews (in order to determine your level of French), letter of acceptance, enrolment into the program, placement process, supporting documents for the visa process (if necessary), interviews with potential employers, support throughout the program and certificate of completion.
