Benefits of the International Business Management Coop Program | Study and Work Canada

Graduates from the International Business Management Co-op program will gain an excellent understanding of the essentials of business management. This program prepares students to enter the world of business management and looks at the current global business environment. Students will discuss global issues, prepare presentations, do team projects, and extend their research skills.

Also, there will be interviews arranged for you with potential employers who can provide unpaid co-op positions relevant to your program. The Work Placement Skills course will help prepare you for success in your interviews, and on the job. In the table bellow, you can see what courses will be included into your studies as well as the duration of every course.

Greystone staff will assist you with and prepare you for your professional internship placement, and for an optional fee, will also offer guaranteed interviews. Co-op internship placement hours cannot exceed the study hours and the program is designed to allow students to work between 20 -27 hours / week. Co-op positions vary depending on your skills and experience as well as the employer’s needs. Your work schedule will be determined by your employer. Co-op Service fee includes: Permit sponsorship, documentation support, interview preparation, résumé building, job preparation, explanation of government reporting procedures, and placement tips.

Am I eligible for the International Business Management Program in Canada?

Students who are interested in taking part in the International Business Management Co-op Program must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent (accepted secondary school diplomas must be from Canada or the USA); or be at least 18 years of age, and pass a superintendent approved qualifying test.

International students must demonstrate an advanced level of English with our online written test and arranged speaking interview.  Language requirement is an IELTS test score of 6.5 or above.

New Study Permit Regulations as of June 1, 2014…

Study permits will automatically authorize the holder to work off-campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic session and full-time during scheduled breaks without the need to apply for a separate work permit. The study permit holder must be pursuing academic, vocational or professional training of six months or more that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate at a designated institution. Learn more…

Post Graduate Work Permit Canada

Students who complete a fulltime program lasting for longer than 8 months may be eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit. Post Graduate Work Permits may not exceed the length of study time. Please see the Government of Canada Website for more information.

WPC – Work Placement Class that will prepare student for their co-op placement.

Co-op work placements are unpaid, and will align with the learning objectives of the International Business Management Program to qualify you for graduation. The Co-op coordinators will arrange interviews for you with potential employers who can provide relevant unpaid co-op positions. The Work Placement Skills course will help prepare you for success in your interviews, and on the job.

After completing their Co-op placement, students will have to return for additional 2 weeks course. The schedule for the post placement academic study is bellow.

International Business Management Co-op Program Fees and Starting Dates

The length of the International Business Management Program is 50 weeks which includes 24 weeks of academic studies + 24 weeks of co-op placements and 2 weeks of tutorial.
