Payment Policy

Internship – Volunteer – Farmstay 

Full payment for internship, volunteer or farmstay only programs is due before the placement process begins. The application, payment and placement process is as follows:

1.       Completed Application Form Sent
2.       Acceptance & Invoice Sent – Make Payment
3.       Program Planning Meeting (for internship programs in Canada only)
4.       Interview Preparation & Interviews (for internship programs in Canada only)
5.       Placement Confirmation
6.       Visa Preparation / Application

Study & Work Programs

Deposit of 25% of all fees are due at the time of acceptance in order to secure a place in the program. Remaining fees are due in full to Latitude International Education Inc. 4 weeks before the start of the course. Local supplier terms & conditions apply.

Payments must be by bank transfer.

Au Pair Programs

$50 CAD / 50€ / $50 USD is due upon application, before skype interview. Payment of the remainder of the program fees is upon completion of the application kit.

Homestay Accommodation

A $270 CAD non-refundable accommodation placement is due at the time of booking. Remaining accommodation fees are due upon placement with a host family or 4 weeks before arrival in Canada, whichever comes first.

Refund Policy

Written notification of cancellation must be submitted in order to provide refunds. In the case where a visa has already been approved, a copy of the visa document must be submitted along with the notice of cancellation.

Internship, Volunteer, Farmstay Programs

If a participant wishes to withdraw from a program, they may do so at any time.

a. If the participant withdraws before they are assigned an interview or a placement, they will receive a full refund, less a $300 (or 300€) administration fee.

b. If a participant withdraws after they are assigned an interview, or after they receive a placement confirmation, they will not receive a refund or reimbursement of any kind.

c. In the case where a participant’s visa application is denied, all program fees will be refunded less $300 CAD (or 300€) administration fee. A copy of the visa denial letter is required.

Study & Work Programs

Cancelation must be received in writing. On behalf of the institution Latitude will retain 20% of tuition fees to a maximum of $1300 CAD as well as an administration fee of $300 CAD and any other non-refundable charges such as registration fees, accommodation placement fees, courier fees and bank charges for students canceling their program less than 30 days before the start of the program.

Latitude will retain, on behalf of the school, 10% of tuition fees to a maximum of $1000 CAD as well as an administration fee of $300 CAD and any other non-refundable charges such as registration fees, accommodation placement fees, courier fees and bank charges for students canceling their program more than 30 days before the start of the program.

Students cancelling their accommodation reservation 30 days or less before check-in will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to 2 weeks of accommodation fees less non-refundable charges such as admin & registration fees, accommodation placement fee, courier fees and bank charges and are subject to cancellation fees required by the school.

In the case where a student has signed the school’s refund policy, this policy applies plus $300 CAD non-refundable admin fee.

Refunds will be made within 45 days of cancellation and will be done so by bank transfer only.

Au Pair Programs

$150 CAD (or 100€) of the program fee is a non-refundable administrative fee. 100% no refund is given after the first interview.

Homestay Accommodation

$270 CAD non-refundable admin fee is charged in the case of cancellation before a host family is confirmed.

Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary (all English-speaking destinations)
Cancelation after a host family is confirmed and 4 weeks or less before the arrival/check-in date will result a cancelation fee equivalent to 2 weeks’ accommodation fee.

Montreal
Homestay cancellation fees will be charged according to the following dates:

  • Cancellation up to 30 days prior to your first day of stay: 100% refund less the homestay placement fee ($270 CAD)
  • Cancellation between 19 and 29 days prior to your first day of stay: 25% of your first and last month of accommodation fees will be retained.
  • Cancellation between 1 and 18 days prior to your first day of stay: 50% of your first and last month accommodation fees will be retained.

Latitude International Education Inc. receives Canadian dollar payments through PaytoStudy allowing clients to save on currency exchange and bank fees. Pay your fees here.
